How does GPS-verified clock-in work?
When a driver taps 'Start Work' in the FleetGS app, the app records the GPS location and precise timestamp at that moment. The same happens at clock-out. This means you have an accurate, tamper-resistant record of when each driver started and finished work — not a self-reported time that could be rounded or adjusted.
Can I export timesheet data for payroll?
Yes. Work session data — including clock-in/out times, break durations, total hours worked, and GPS locations — can be exported to CSV. The export is compatible with Excel and most payroll systems. You can filter by driver, date range, or vehicle.
How does break tracking work?
Drivers start and stop breaks from the FleetGS app. The app records the type of break (daily rest, short break, etc.), the start time, end time, duration, and GPS location. Break time is automatically subtracted from total hours worked in reports. This is important for working time directive compliance and for operators monitoring driver hours.
What happens if a driver forgets to clock out?
FleetGS detects when a driver has been clocked in with no movement for an extended period and can send an automated reminder. Fleet managers can also manually adjust timesheet entries with an audit trail showing when the change was made and by whom. All adjustments are logged.
